What a cute little book! I wouldn't mind owning this one and revisiting it again sometime. Great little summer read with lovable characters in a down home southern feel, and a country atmosphere. There is the added bonus of a bit of mystery and magic thrown in which is a nice touch. I've been told that the magical aspect is a type of trademark for the author from Melody who has now read everything the author has available. Some not as great as this one, but still not bad reads. Recommended for anyone who enjoys a light read with a hint of mystery and magic. Reminiscent of Tuck Everlasting by Natalie Babbitt.
