Hello All! Today's blog features an interview with L.M. Stull, author of A Thirty-Something Girl . I recently read and reviewed the novel a couple weeks ago and was excited when she agreed to the interview. I want to thank L.M. for so kindly agreeing to the interview and for taking the time out of her schedule to tell us a little about her novel and herself. What inspired you to write A Thirty-Something Girl? One night after my ex-husband and I had split, I lay wide awake thinking about my life and all the good and bad things in it, all the good and bad things I did. And I knew this story needed to be written. I wrote it more as a therapy for myself. And also for other women (and men) out there. Read: June 5-6, 2012 read in a couple hours pages: 63 Wow, now that was intense. Great freebie from Amazon.com  I'm not a huge fan of horror and I've never read a zombie book, so this was my first. What the short stories did very well was create tension. I was tense the entire time I read this. And it was compelling enough that they kept me reading. It was a train wreck I literally couldn't stop reading and I couldn't put it down. The worst part was silly me decided to start reading this late last night before bed because I honestly did not know what to expect. I still did not expect what I got from the stories. I feel like I'm never going to be able to get to sleep in a couple hours as it is now. The images and the descriptions of the carnage was enough to cause my skin to crawl and cause me to look over my shoulder at every little creak in the house. Read: November 1, 2012 - January 5, 2013 read: TOO FREAKING LONG  pages: 385 So I decided to jump on the bandwagon and see just what the deal was with this book. I am still waiting to see what the big deal is. I'm not going to bash the book (too much), the author or anyone out there who enjoyed it. That's great for all of them and to each their own, but I just did not care for the book myself. I will not be giving the next book a try because I honestly didn't like the characters. I wanted to slap Anastasia for being dumb and ask her why the heck she didn't run screaming when she first met Christian. Cute and oh my goodness beauty only carries a person so far in my opinion. When you are a straight up arrogant jerk with issues you claim to be "50 shades of fucked up" well that would be a pretty strong indication that attempting a relationship with this man is not a good idea....let alone the fact that it would be YOUR FIRST RELATIONSHIP WITH A MAN!!...
